3 Redneck Tenors' Los Angeles Show to
Raise Awareness for Residents Facing Eviction at the Motion Picture
Home and Hospital in Calabasas, California.
(March
12, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA) – The much anticipated,
critically acclaimed 3 Redneck Tenors: A New Musical
Adventure arrives at the Canyon Club Thursday, March 19,
2009 as part of a current, highly successful, multi-city,
U.S. tour.
Catapulting into national fame during their competitive
participation in the second season of the hit NBC reality
series, America’s Got Talent, the cast includes veteran
Broadway and Opera stars Matthew Lord, John Wilkerson and
Alex Bumpas, with Special Guest Dinny McGuire (AKA Billy
Joe, Billy Billie, Billy Bob and The Colonel) in a foot
stompin', knee slappin' uproariously funny musical redneck
romp, with the tunes of Elvis to Puccini; Country to Opera (C'opera
if you will); from Paris (Texas that is) all the way to
their triumphant debut at New York City's famous Carn-iggy
Hall. Popular comedy team Mack & Jamie (Mack Dryden and
Jamie Alcroft), known to television audiences from the
Tonight Show and their own hit syndicated series Comedy
Break, will open the evening.
The 3 Redneck Tenors’ Canyon Club engagement (the second
of only four California tour stops) is distinguished by the
fact that The Tenors, along with Mack & Jamie, have made a
heartfelt commitment to raise awareness about the closure of
the Long Term and Acute Care units and the consequential
negative impact on the current residents and those who work
in the motion picture and television industry. Since January
14, 2009 when the Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF)
in Calabasas, CA announced the closing, the MPTF’s 88
year-old mission of “Taking Care of Our Own” seemed destined
to dissipate into hopelessness. As a result, families of
Motion Picture Home residents and others in the Industry
standing up to the MPTF’s historic promise, formed the
coalition “Saving The Lives of Our Own” to not only keep
their loved ones in place, but to ensure that Long Term Care
remains open for future generations in need.

3 Redneck Tenors Sign with LMNO
Productions for TV show
(September
4, 2008) Reality TV veteran LMNO Productions announced a
television development deal with Master Performances
Company's 3 Redneck Tenors to create a reality or scripted
series. LMNO is known for
programs such as
"Boot Camp,"
"The Littlest Groom" and
"Kids Say the Darndest
Things,"
"We've been
constantly trying to identify new areas and try to stay
fresh," said LMNO president
Eric Schotz.
The
production company is high on 3 Redneck Tenors, who gained
national attention via their appearance on "America's Got
Talent. Schotz said he sees a potential variety show project
or music-based series for the Tenors, who are all
classically trained opera singers -- but with mullets.
"Everyone's
looking for the next thing," Schotz said. "These guys had
tremendous crossover appeal when they were on NBC, and
they're sold out in Vegas and across the country. Something
like this is not on the air -- comedy and music combined,"
he added. Schotz said he also sees a potential scripted
project for the Tenors as well.
"Can we put
them into the sitcom world?" he said. "We'll develop it out
in two parallel lines. The beauty of this is you can sell in
more than one location."
